Alessia is currently Associate Professor of Scenery and Costume Design for the Department of Drama/Dance at The University of Montana in Missoula, bringing backgrounds in both scenic/costume design and fine arts to the program. Alessia has designed sets and costumes for eight operas for the UBC School of Music (Vancouver, Canada), six of which were a co- production with Mestzke Divadlo in Usti Nad Labem (Czech Republic). All have toured several cities in the Czech Republic and Germany, including the Estates Theatre in Prague (Stavoveske Divadlo). Alessia also spent a few years working as a charge and scenic artist in Italy for television programs on the main national networks (Rai Uno, Channel Five) and designing scenery and lighting for Club Vacanze, a holiday resort management company. Last year Alessia designed scenery for the national tour of the Montana Repertory Theatre production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
